WHY: You've done a basic search, but you're still getting TONS of items, and you need to filter out things that you don't want. Filters on the left hand side of OneSearch are there to help you tell OneSearch specifically what type of item you are looking for!!
Say your professor says you must have sources completed within the last ten years and are peer reviewed.
Steps:
Start broad, type in your key word search
On the left hand side click the filter you want: "peer-reviewed journals"
Look at publication date and change the dates to 2012-2023
Click the green "apply filters" button
